The Dream Team M is Vibha's premier Marathon training program.
We promise to take you all the way to your running goals – whether the goals be a half marathon or a full marathon. We promise to do this in a fun, inspiring, exciting, and exhilarating way – where you make friends for a lifetime, accomplish your running goals, and help support a worthy cause in the process.
We have been active in the SF Bay area since 2011, helping runners achieve their dream of finishing a half or a full Marathon. There is a dedicated team of coaches, experienced mentors and support volunteers who will guide and help you every step of the way, so you reach your running goals.
What we ask in return is your commitment, your time, and your enthusiasm.
The program is offered free of charge. In return, we ask that trainees volunteer to raise funds for our parent charity: Vibha.
Completing a Marathon/Half Marathon is a life changing event in itself, but imagine the number of children whose lives will be changed for the better, thanks to the opportunities these funds made available!

AM I ELIGIBLE?
Training is open to all participants aged 16 and above. No prior running experience needed! Beginners and seasoned runners alike will enjoy and benefit.
Our experienced coaches and mentors take a proactive approach to making this a positive experience and building a lifelong passion.
DESCRIBE THE PROGRAM?
There are two basic programs – Half-marathon & Full marathon training.
THE HALF MARATHON PROGRAM – 13.1 MILES OF FUN!!!
This is a gently progressive program. It involves one group weekend run every Sunday, one group hill run on Tuesday, and two other weekday runs with the team or otherwise.
We start with two initial training sessions, where coaches lead the trainees through warm-ups, strengthening, core-training, and stretching exercises.
Structure: The first weekend run is 2 miles long. Each weekend, the runs gets longer, peaking at 10 miles. This is followed by a tapering period to allow runners to recover and recharge for the half Marathon. The training program targets the Vibha Dream Mile half Marathon or an equivalent in June.
FULL MARATHON – COMPLETE IT & JOIN 0.08% OF THE WORLD!!!
This program debuted in 2014. It is designed for runners to participate in the San Francisco Marathon in End-July 2017.
Structure - Same as above. The Vibha Half-marathon will be the mid-point in this training program. After this the weekend runs get longer, peak at 20 miles, and then taper down to marathon race day in San Francisco.
HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I COMMIT?
The team trains on Sunday mornings (Feb – June). There are an additional two months (through July-end) for the full marathon.
There is a hill-training run on Tuesdays to help train for gradients.
The remaining two weekday runs can be scheduled with the team or at the trainee's convenience.
