The Run/Walk

I cannot participate in the run/walk, can I donate instead?
We would love your participation. But, we welcome your donation and are very much thankful for it. Click Here to pledge an amount and support Vibha's cause.

Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Receipts will be emailed right after you donate.

How does The Dream Mile run/walk work?
Walkers and runners are all ages and participants can walk as individuals, families, groups, work teams and more. Refreshments are available before the Walk and Run and throughout the course, and volunteers are stationed along the Walk route to ensure that walkers stay on course.

How long is the Run/Walk?
There is a 5K path, a 10K trail, a Half and Full Marathon route.

Can my kids participate?
Yes. Given that Vibha’s vision is to provide a brighter future for underprivileged children, it makes perfect sense to get your children involved. However, parental discretion is advised for distances. And, of course, the Carnival provides a wide range of games and activities for children.

What should I wear?
Comfortable shoes, a hat, sunglasses and extra sunscreen. Serious runners wishing to participate in the Race should wear their running gear.

Is the Run/Walk a race?
Yes, all runners are chip-timed. The timing for The Dream Mile is provided by a professional firm. Winners in each category will receive medals as prizes. However if you do not wish to run, you may still walk the trail at your own pace. We just request the "walkers" to please give way to the runners so they may be able to keep their timing.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?
The event goes on. If it rains hard and it becomes too difficult to run/walk, the route will be shortened.

Is this Race stroller friendly?
Yes, you can bring your kids in the storller. However please be mindful of other runners and stay towards the side on the trail.Kids in strollers could have a bib but are not eligible for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place award.

I cannot run. Can I just walk?
Yes, Dream Mile is walker friendly. We encourage all participants to train in an effort to complete the race within the race end time which is 1 PM.
